FAQ#7001829: Installing Guardant Control Center (Guardant License Manager)
Problem:
Installing the Guardant Control Center license manager
Attention: Install the Guardant Control Center license manager only on the license server.
Do not install Guardant Control Center on workstations; this may affect the license server search speed.
Solution:
1. Download the Guardant Control Center license manager distribution package for your operating system from the official Guardant website:
https://www.guardant.com/support/users/control-center/
2. Perform the installation by following the Windows installer instructions, or install the appropriate package for your Linux OS version.
3. Open the Guardant Control Center web interface http://localhost:3189 and change the default password to your own password.
To do this, go to Settings (the gear icon in the right-hand corner).

Select the Change Password tab, enter the new password, and click the Apply button.
4. Disable the license manager's search for remote licenses. This will not affect the ability of workstations to locate and acquire network licenses; this option is specifically intended for displaying licenses from other GCC instances on the network within the GCC interface. Disabling this option improves GCC performance.
5. Port 3189 on the server where GCC is installed must be accessible from the workstations that obtain licenses over the network from this license manager.
