General information about the licensing system Guardant SLK (further Guardant)
Solution:
KOMPAS-3D, starting from version v22, uses a licensing system Guardant from the company "AKTIV". (Support for Sentinel HASP will be retained for these versions).
Licenses are stored on software and hardware keys.

No license manager installation is required for the local operation of the Guardant DL software key or the Guardant Sign hardware key (where the key is located on the same PC running the protected application), this applies to temporary evaluation licenses as well. Information on updating licenses on Guardant keys can be found in article #FAQ7001433.
1.1 Software key Guardant DL
A key without physical media that is tied to the computer's hardware characteristics. The Guardant DL key can be deployed on Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems. It can simultaneously include all license types (local/network, temporary/perpetual).
The Guardant DL software key functions within virtual machines (Vms), however, the license associated with the key itself may impose restrictions on Vms usage (e.g., the KOMPAS-3D evaluation license does not work in a Vms).
1.2 Hardware key Guardant Sign
The hardware key is not tied to hardware specifications and can be physically moved to another computer without any additional steps. License information is stored in the hardware key's non-volatile memory.
The hardware key can be passed through to another computer or a virtual machine.
2. Guardant Control Center licence system
To transfer network licenses to workstations on a local area network, Guardant Control Center must be installed on the license server (further GCC)
Installing the GCC license manager on workstations that use network licenses is not required.

The license manager is operated via a web interface http://localhost:3189 in the browser.
